After the incident came into limelight, Mukul Roy tweeted that TMC goons attacked BJP workers and 4 of his workers were shot dead in Sandeshkhali, Basirhat.
After the lok sabha elections, there has been many incidences of clashes between BJP & TMC Cadres, A Clash has been reported between the Trinamool (TMC) and the Bharatiya Janata Partry (BJP) cadres on Saturday, 8th June. The clashes started over taking off party flags in Basirhat’s Najat area in North 24th Parganas (West Bengal).
Workers from both TMC and BJP were got injured in the clashes as As per the sources till now 4 people have reported dead out of which 3 belonged to BJP and 1 of TMC.
The BJP claims that first it was TMC workers who opened fire Where as The TMC claims the BJP pulled out pistols first.
The incidence has taken a political color and BJP leader Mukul Roy has blamed West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee for the clashes and for the death of their workers.
Mukul Roy also tweeted that TMC workers attacked BJP workers and four of his workers (Devdas Mondal, Sukant Mandol, Tapas Mandol, and Pradeep Mandol) were shot dead in Basirhat.
Mukul Roy also stated that a team of MPs will visit Sandeshkhali today and they will protest against this democratically.
On the overall incidence police declined to comment on the deaths happened whereas they agree that a huge contingent has been rushed to the spot to control the situation.
