Its raining heavily in Mumbai and many flights have been delayed upto and hour and around seventeen flights were diverted on Friday evening due to heavy rain and low visibility.
Heavy rain is causing massive water logging and traffic jams across the city. As per the predictions of private weather forecaster SkymetThe intensity of the rain will only start decreasing from Saturday afternoon or evening.
An official of the Mumbai airport told news agency ANI. “The Flights are getting delayed by approx 30 minutes to an hour on average, due to heavy rains since last two hours,”
During the peak hour traffic, the Western Express Highway was highly affected due to the rain with those people who were heading to airport got worst affected. As onn a normal day, the traffic generally crawls and the rain during peak hour made it worse in all aspect.
In the Mumbai suburbs, Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road, Juhu Tara Road, several stretches of SV Road and parts of Western Express Highway were suffering from water logging and hence leading to traffic jams.
